Take CCG To The Next Level With UniVersus’ ‘Solo Leveling’ Themed Challenger Deck

Solo Leveling was a sleeper hit for me. I think the anime had been out for a month or two before I had circled around to checking it out. Once I did, I was hooked. There is something so inherently “TTRPG” fantasy about the thing. Not in the sense there are the typically fantasy species or tropes of a high fantasy world, but the leveling grind and the unlocking of class abilities and skills, while also very MMORPG, feels very much like “What if TTRPG … but real life?”
My pals over at UniVersus are always on top of what is on trend. With the new season of Solo Leveling about to drop, they have a new Challenger Series deck themed after the show hitting shelves on January 10th.
As a fan of the show and CCG, I think this Challenger Deck is fantastic. In the box you get a fully playable 60 card deck featuring a ton of foils including Sung Jinwoo, the Hunter’s Dagger, Venom Fang Dagger, and Teleportation stone.
The deck box also comes with a Collector Booster Pack of cards that has six random foil alternate art cards in it and a booklet that shows you all the cards in the deck along with the alt version of the art you may be able to snag in the booster or when trading with friends.
UniVersus keeps building out their collection of Challenger Decks with strong IPs from all over the pop culture space. Recently, we have seen more of their My Hero Academia releases, Godzilla, Attack on Titan, Critical Role, and Star Trek: Lower Decks. It’s astonishing how well all of these worlds work together in the this clashing card game.
The design team over at UniVersus puts in a ton of work as well getting original art and various collectable features added to the alternate cards for certain sets making them worth chasing as you try and build out your own custom decks or just try and finish up a full run of a fandom set.
