2D Mario Returns With ‘Super Mario Bros. Wonder’ This Fall

With The Super Mario Bros. Movie still the most successful movie of the year, Nintendo is capitalizing with a brand-new 2D Super Mario game. Super Mario Bros. Wonder sends Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, and Daisy off on a new adventure, with what seems to be a number of new worlds to explore.
The main new gimmick this time around is the Wonder Flower, which can alter stages in strange and unexpected ways. Meanwhile though, Mario and the gang gain an array of new abilities to help them. One of which appears to turn Mario into an elephant, which would be a weird transformation, if he hadn’t already been a raccoon and a cat in his past.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder releases on October 20th for the Nintendo Switch.
