Ed Brubaker And Sean Phillips’ ‘Criminal’ Gets New Printings Ahead Of New Amazon Prime TV Series

Criminal, the series created and produced by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips is to get new printings, with new covers by Phillips, ahead of the Amazon Prime small screen adaption.

The first two collected volumes of the series, first published by Image Comics in 2007, will be titled Criminal, Volume 1: Coward and Criminal, Volume 2: Lawless and are scheduled for a release Wednesday, January 22nd in comic book stores and book stores on Tuesday, February 4th from Image Comics.

These new reprints will be followed by the following:

Criminal, Volume 3: The Dead and The Dying – available in comic book stores on Wednesday, February 19 and independent bookstores, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indigo, and Waterstones on Tuesday, March 4.

Criminal, Volume 4: Bad Night – available in comic book stores on Wednesday, March 19th and independent bookstores, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indigo, and Waterstones on Tuesday, April 1.

Criminal, Volume 5: The Sinners – available in comic book stores on Wednesday, April 23 and in book stores on Tuesday, May 6.

Criminal, Volume 6: Last of the Innocent – available in comic book stores on Wednesday, May 21 and and in book stores Tuesday, June 3.

Criminal, Volume 7: Wrong Place Wrong Time – available in comic book stores on Wednesday, June 18 and in book stores on Tuesday, July 1.

Criminal, Volume 8: My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies – available in comic book stores on Wednesday, July 23 and and in book stores on Tuesday, August 5.

Needless to say, Brubaker is stoked for these new printings and new designs:

The television adaptation sees Brubaker serving as showrunner, and stars Charlie Hunnam, Luke Evans, and Emilia Clarke. The first season of the TV show will cover the first two story arcs of the comic book series, Coward and Lawless and comes out later this year on Amazon’s Prime Video
