Orson Welles’ ‘The Third Man’ And Horror Hit ‘You’re Next’ To Make Their 4K UHD Debut From Lionsgate

Lionsgate has prepared an unlikely doubleheader for you.
The classic noir thriller The Third Man, and the recent indie horror film You’re Next are both making their debut on 4K UHD steelbook, and will be available exclusively through the studio’s direct-to-consumer site this February.
The Third Man, directed by Carol Reed and scripted by Graham Greene, takes place in post-WWII Vienna, where a writer (Joseph Cotten) learns his friend Harry Lime (Orson Welles in one of his most iconic roles) has died in a suspicious accident. But that’s just the beginning of the mystery classic that leads to stunning B&W location photography, one of the most memorable film scores of all time (courtesy of zither maestro Anton Karas), an endlessly quotable Welles monologue, and an unforgettable finale beneath the streets of Vienna.
To celebrate the beloved film’s arrival on 4K, the new steelbook release will include a 56-page booklet, a miniposter, and art cards. Bonus features include an audio commentary, episodes of The Third Man radio show, interviews, featurettes, an alternate version Cotten’s opening voiceover, and more.
Next up: You’re Next, director Adam Wingard‘s grueling, low-budget 2011 horror hit, also making its 4K debut. Estranged family members come together in order to fight off a group of masked home invaders, with the gore factor increasing with each clever kill. It stars Sharni Vinson, Nicholas Tucci, AJ Bowen, Joe Swanberg, and Amy Seimetz.
The collectible steelbook package sports new artwork from Matt Ryan Tobin, and bonus features include a new audio commentary with Wingard and writer Simon Barretto, new featurettes and interviews, and more. Best of all, it also includes all of the special features from the 2024 Second Sight UK Blu-ray, as well as Lionsgate’s 2013 Blu-ray release.
You’re Next and The Third Man will be available exclusively on Lionsgate’s direct-to-consumer site, Lionsgate Limited, on February 25th.
