G.I. Joe Falls Silent With ‘G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Silent Missions’ One-Shots

Skybound/Image Comics and Hasbro announced five all-new G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Silent Missions one-shots, to be published weekly across April, 2025. These special issues — all free of any dialogue whatsoever — will be complemented by a ‘Silent Missions’ edition of the historic “Silent Interlude”, published originally in Marvel’s G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #21, which includes a new letter from Larry Hama.
Alongside Hama will be the likes of Phil Hester, DANI & Dan Watters, Leonardo Romero, Andrew Krahnke, and Wes Craig, all contributing to the one-shots.
Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound said about these new specials:
“The importance of the Silent Interlude cannot be overstated. And in celebration of this historic issue, Skybound has invited five of the industry’s best storytellers to write and draw their own silent issue, each taking on a different G.I. Joe character. And while this event is inspired by Larry Hama and Steve Leialoha’s original masterpiece, each issue is singular in its approach and showcases the unique strengths of these incredible artists.”
