A Girl And Her Guardian Ghost: Dawn Brown’s ‘Gracie’s Ghost’ OGN From Image Comics Arrives This September

Eisner Award-nominated cartoonist Dawn Brown (Little Red Hot, Ravenous, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew set designer, Hunger Games film concept artist) has an original graphic novel aimed at tweens and middle schoolers: Gracie’s Ghost —  all about a young girl and her guardian ghost — coming out from Image Comics this September.

The graphic novel is split into short, self-contained stories connected by themes “about sibling rivalry, empathy, and bullying … reminiscent of Calvin & Hobbes, The Girl and the Glim, and Sheets.”

Brown gives a little insight into the book:

“Gracie’s Ghost is sort of a fictionalized version of events that really happened to me, and I wrote this book for kids who haven’t always had the easy road. Whatever their challenge is, they are not alone.”

The Gracie’s Ghost original graphic novel will be in 6×9″ trim size paperback format and available at comic book stores on Wednesday, September 10th and in bookstores and online sellers on Tuesday, September 23rd.
