‘We Stand On Guard’: The Fictional Story Of The USA Invading Canada Resurges In Popularity

Image Comics’ We Stand on Guard, by writer Brian K. Vaughan (Saga, Paper Girls) and artist Steve Skroce (Doc Frankenstein, storyboard artist for The Matrix) is having something of a resurgence in popularity and it doesn’t take a genius to connect the dots as to why this has happened. Just reacquaint yourself with the synopsis:

Set 100 years in the future, We Stand On Guard follows a heroic band of Canadian civilians turned freedom fighters who must defend their homeland from invasion by a technologically superior opponent … the US. It collects the complete story, We Stand On Guard issues #1-6.

Available in both trade paperback and hardcover, the orders’ total for this week has exceeded the total sales for the two editions in the past year.
