Watch This: SWAT-Suited Samurai Fight Japanese Yokai In ‘Kodama’ Short Film

In Kodama, we follow Arthur — a member of an elite SWAT Samurai team — as he embarks on a rescue mission into the spirit world in order to recover his father from vengeful Japanese Yokai Spirits. After watching The Shadow Strays, I’ve developed a love for combining samurai armor with tactical gear. The short film punches above its weight and I hope director Brian M Tang gets to expand his vision into a full film or spiritual successor.
