Adult Animation Revolution: Glitch Announces New Series ‘The Gaslight District’

The Gaslight District is a is a gothic crime drama about a family of undead gangsters trying to find their place after the world has ended. Glitch Productions has already produced successful series including Murder Drones and The Amazing Digital Circus. Gaslight District has one of the most unique art styles I ever seen from indie animation. The limited animation gives a snappy stop-motion feel to the CG characters. The cel-shaded texturing evokes the aesthetic of a grotesque picture book and a PS2 era video game. I love spooky art and Glitch Productions understands what cartoon fans really want.
The big three cartoon channels, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel, have failed to expand their brands and cater to the young adult demographic. So it should be no surprise that cartoon fans are turning to streaming originals and web animation. In the age of anime being dominant pop culture we expect more from our animated programing. I’m glad Glitch exists to give us what we deserve!
