‘Zinezilla’ Is Back For A Fourth Festival & A New Anthology

Zinezilla is absolutely fabulous, and both the Zinezilla comic, zine, illustration and animation festival and the Zinezilla anthology are happening again in 2025. Great art, great comics, brilliantly done…
Yep, it’s all there in the poster – happening in Bristol, UK, on Sunday 7 September.
Now, I featured both the fair and the anthology last year, calling the anthology, Zinezilla: Megalazine, ‘Bright, Bold, Beautiful, Diverse Illustration And Comics Work.’
I loved what they did in the 2024 anthology, telling and showing you how good it was here, and would have loved to have made it to the Festival/Fair. It’s a perfect example of grassroots comic and illustration that deserves all our support. It’s also a fine example of how much talent, diversity, and innovation you’ll find when you go looking beyond the big names and big companies in comics.
Zinezilla 4 has now been announced and applications are open. Organiser Mereida Fajardo promises it’s going to be even bigger and better this year;
‘bringing together marketplace, animation festival and workshop space, Gordon The Godzilla and his friends will be taking over the Trinity Centre for a full day of festivities, activities and art.’
This year, Zinezilla is teaming up with Bristol animation crew Animinspo to bring a new programme of animation screenings, panels, and interviews alongside what’s promised to be an expanded illustration, comic and zine fair. So, comics, prints, zines, books, merch, and a lot more, including a full-day programme of workshops, talks, and hands-on activities. It’s just £3 for a ticket to get in to see a wonderful world of comics and zines and so much more. And of course, the Zinezilla Comics Anthology will be debuting at Zinezilla 4.
