It’s time for the Manhattan Clan to meet Marvel’s first family.
Dynamite announced Thursday the upcoming Gargoyles/Fantastic Four — and epic crossover slated for this October, but to be featured in the Free Comic Book Day issue of Gargoyles: Demona #0. Gargoyles writer Greg Weisman, artist George Kambadais, and letterer Jeff Eckleberry reunite to tell the tale of what happens when the two families meet.
In the story, Goliath, Elisa Maza, Brooklyn, Katana and Nashville have been invited to tour the fabulous and technologically advanced Baxter Building. But, of course, it all goes south when “a fearsome cast of foes from both mythos cross paths, including Coldsteel, the Gargoyle — aka Yuri Topolov — and the deadly Annihilus.” Meanwhile, Gnash gets to know Franklin and Val, the FF team up with Broadway and Angela, different pairings split off, and the mission takes them all across New York, the Negative Zone, and beyond.
“This is a tale of clan and family,” Weisman said in a statement. “And it’s a thrill to get this opportunity to bring the first family of the Marvel Universe together with the Manhattan Clan. It feels right!”
Supporting the first issue will be covers from Lucio Parrillo, Mark Bagley, Amanda Conner, and more. For the moment, though, enjoy the pair of previews pages above. While the crossover begins in October, the preview will be available in Demona #0 on May 3rd.
