‘Bitter Root: The Next Movement’ #1 Sells Out And Gets A Second Printing From Image Comics
by Olly MacNamee
Creators David F. Walker, Chuck Brown, and Sanford Greene‘s Bitter Root: The Next Movement #1 has sold out at the all-important distributor level and is getting a reorder for another printing of the debut issue. Of course, the gang were pleased with the team issuing a collective statement:

“The entire Bitter Root team has been excited to be in action, and we’re overwhelmed and humbled by the positive reception we’ve received so far. With so many incredible titles for comic readers and retailers to choose from, we are deeply appreciative for all the love Bitter Rootis getting.”
And here’s the series’ politically infused synopsis:
“This explosive new story arc brings the Civil Rights Movement to life for readers when a group of activists go missing during the turbulent times of the 1960s. A new generation of the Sangerye family must face a menace far worse than anything their ancestors ever encountered. The monstrous jinoo—creatures born out of hate and racism—have evolved into a threat that few people are willing to acknowledge, and even fewer know how to fight.”
Bitter Root: The Next Movement #1, second printing is out on Wednesday, March 26th, from Image Comics.
