Arrow Video Will Unleash A Sylvester Stallone Classic, Lucio Fulci Zombies, ‘Narc’ And ‘The Stuff’ This July

Arrow Video’s recently announced physical media slate for July collects cops, criminals, zombies, Sylvester Stallone, and other cool genre “stuff,” with many titles being presented on 4K UHD.

First up, 2002’s underrated Narc arrives on limited edition 4K UHD, only available in the UK. Starring Jason Patric and the late, great Ray Liotta, Narc is a gritty Detroit-set crime epic from director Joe Carnahan (The Grey, Smokin’ Aces). Arrow’s 4K will be presented in immersive Atmos audio, with special features including interviews, a reversible sleeve and a collector’s booklet.

What is there to say about 1986’s Cobra? The brutal, Reagan Era actioner in which Stallone single-handedly “cures” crime in LA? It’s awesome. The limited 4K UHD release will offer up new and archival extras, plus a reversible sleeve, collector’s booklet and poster. Available in the UK and the US.

Arrow sure loves Lucio Fulci (The House by the Cemetery, City of the Living Dead), and now they’re upgrading the Italian horror auteur’s sleazy Zombie Flesh Eaters, AKA Zombi 2, the unofficial sequel to George A. Romero‘s Dawn of the Dead. Plot-wise, the most important thing to know is that there’s a shark-on-zombie fight and a truly stomach-churning eye gouging scene that can’t be unseen. And now it’s all in glorious 4K! The UK-only UHD disc includes three audio commentaries, video essays, featurettes, a reversible sleeve, a perfect bound booklet, double-sided poster, and six postcards. An Arrow store exclusive version features alternate artwork.

Next, Arrow goes way up north with The Nightwatch Collection on limited edition Blu-ray. The 2-disc set includes the 1994 Danish hit Nightwatch and its sequel, Nightwatch: Demons Are Forever. Writer-director Ole Bornedal‘s spooky slice of Nordic noir introduced filmgoers to Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, years before his stint on Game of Thrones. It includes an audio commentary from Bornedal, a making of documentary, video essays and more, plus a poster, booklet and reversible sleeve. Not included is Bornedal’s inferior 1997 studio remake starring Ewan McGregor. Available in the US and the UK.

The indie horror Crumb Catcher is up next. Chris Skotchdopole‘s directorial debut provides a dark comic twist on the home invasion thriller. A young couple’s (Rigo Garay and Ella Rae Peck) honeymoon at a remote cabin is interrupted by an angry wait staff bent on blackmail and revenge after being stiffed at the previous night’s wedding reception party. Produced by Larry Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix (The House of the Devil, The Ranger), Crumb Catcher comes with a reversible sleeve and collector’s booklet. Available in the US and the UK.

Saving the best stuff for last: Get ready for The Stuff, on limited edition 4K UHD, from horror icon Larry Cohen (It’s Alive, Maniac Cop). Targeting the corporate corruption of Big Pudding, 1985’s The Stuff centers around a popular new food item that literally drives people insane. Arrow went all-out on this one, offering a 2-disc release that includes an exclusive remaster of the pre-release cut featuring over 30 minutes of additional footage and an alternate score. There’s also a new audio commentary, documentaries and interviews, a reversible sleeve, and a collector’s booklet. Available in the US and the UK.
