Speaking about the success of the debut issue, McConville said:
“The response to Medieval Spawn #1 has been incredible. Sir John of York remains one of the most iconic characters in the Spawn universe, and I can’t wait for readers to see what we have in store for him.”Itri added:
“I was sure that with Medieval Spawn #1 we would have hit the mark and I thank all the readers for this! Honored to be a part of this! See you soon on the shelves!”
And here’s what you’ve missed:
“Medieval Spawn unfolds in a time of bloodshed and black magic, following Sir Jon of York—a ruthless warrior carving a path through a treacherous world of monsters, wizards, and betrayal. Long before he was pulled into the far future, his legend was forged on the battlefield, one brutal choice at a time.”
Medieval Spawn #1, second printing will be out on Wednesday, May 21st from Image Comics.
