‘Invincible Universe: Battle Beast’ #1 Blind Bags Revealed

Ahead of it’s debut this Wednsday 14th May Skybound/Image Comics have revealed the full contents of the Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1, Blind Bag program nfrom co-creator/writer Robert Kirkman (Void Rivals, The Walking Dead) and co-creator/artist Ryan Ottley (The Amazing Spider-Man). In case you missed the original announcement, these blind bag issues allows readers a chance to get any of the solicited covers from A through I and today Skybound showed off the three intermixed secret covers. These are as follows:
- A new printing of Invincible #19, the first appearance of Battle Beast!
- A special advance edition of Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #2, allowing fans to read the next shocking issue in its entirety
- And, in partnership with Marvel Comics, a reprint of Marvel Team-Up #14, the historic first meeting of Invincible and Spider-Man with art by Invincible co-creator Cory Walker.
And here’s Kirkman explaining his choices for these blind bag covers:
“With every launch we do at Skybound we always try to roll out the red carpet and do something special, but I’ll be honest, I never knew we’d be able to do something this special! Reprinting Invincible issue #19, cool. Releasing an advance version of Battle Beast issue #2 on the same day, crazy! But actually reprinting a Marvel comic, especially one as rare and sought after as Marvel Team-Up 14… well, it’s so amazing I can hardly believe it actually happened!”
Here’s the news series’ synopsis:
“Cursed with an unquenchable thirst for violence that threatens those he loves, Battle Beast searches the universe for the one warrior mightier than him…so that he may die before harming anyone else. But even in a universe of mighty Viltrumites like Invincible and Omni-Man, it seems that no one may be able to stop the galaxy’s deadliest warrior…unless he does the unthinkable.”
Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1 is out on Wednesday, May 14th, 2025 from Skybound/Image Comics.
Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1 Second Printing will be out on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025.
