‘Exquisite Corpses’ #1 Gets A Second Printing After Selling Out On First Day

by Olly MacNamee

This was more than expected. James Tynion IV and Michael Walsh‘s Exquisite Corpses #1 has sold out on the day of release at the distribution level and that means only one thing. A second printing which will feature a Cover A edition with a wraparound cover by Walsh, and a polybagged Cover B edition with a secret new cover by Walsh and a new collectible trading card that will be a part of the companion trading card game.

“In Exquisite Corpses, every five years on Halloween, the wealthiest families in America play a game. 12 of the deadliest people in the world are dropped into a small town with just one goal: last killer standing wins. For the citizens of Oak Valley, Maine—this year’s unlucky arena—the goal is much simpler. They must survive the night.”

“The support we’ve seen from retailers and readers on Exquisite Corpses is just staggering,” said Tynion IV. “I couldn’t be more grateful, or more excited about what comes next.”

“I’m elated that Exquisite Corpses will be going to a second printing and getting into as many hands as possible,” said Walsh. “It’s a huge project and we’ve got big plans. The game is just beginning.”

Exquisite Corpses #1 second printing is out on Wednesday, June 18the with a FOC of May 26th with the following covers:

  • Cover A by Michael Walsh – Lunar Code 0325IM885
  • Cover B by Walsh (polybagged with special game card)
