Marvel Comics Reveals New Arch-Enemy Variants For ‘Bring On The Bad Guys’

by Tony Thornley

This summer, Marvel Comics celebrates their iconic villains in Bring On The Bad Guys. This seven part epic chronicles a time-spanning story that encompasses the entire Marvel Universe, and some of the biggest superstar artists in the industry show each of those villains up against their arch-enemies in Nuff Said arch-enemy variants.

Taking place across Marvel history, Bring On The Bad Guys uncovers a long-brewing scheme from Mephisto involving Doctor Doom, Abomination, Green Goblin, Loki, Red Skull, Dormammu, and, in her exciting debut, Sister Sorrow, a new baddie who will appear across all 7 chapters of this interconnected epic. The variants will feature art by Gerardo Sandoval, Justin Mason, Netho Diaz, Greg Land, Lee Garbett, Pete Woods, and Anand Ramcheron.

“This is a real labor of love for all involved,” writer Marc Guggenheim told Newsarama in a recent interview and first look. “On one level, we’re just trying to tell a cool, self-contained Marvel Universe story that’s worthy of being considered an ‘event.’ At the same time, we’ve worked in a lot of Easter eggs and visual callbacks to the stories that appear in the original Bring on the Bad Guys.”

Check out six of the variants above and watch for Bring On The Bad Guys all summer from Marvel Comics.
