Action RPG ‘Neverness To Everness’ Prepares Its Closed Beta “Containment Test”
by Sage Ashford
These days, there are more Genshin Impact clones than potentially any other genre. Yet few of them have managed to stand out the way that Neverness to Everness has thanks to its focus on just a single metropolitan city. Fortunately for fans waiting on NTE to release, Hotta Studio and Perfect World Games have announced a “Containment Test” — basically, a closed beta test. Players who want to per-register for the game and sign up for the the can do so on the NTE webpage. That said, fans who are on mobile or console are out of luck for now, as the test platform is PC only.
The developers also released a closed beta test trailer, which is basically just a cute music video featuring some of the characters and environments of the game.
Of all the Genshin clones, Neverness to Everness feels like it stands the best chance of carving out a new audience for itself. As miHoYo struggles to create games that don’t cannibalize their existing fanbase, NTE feels different enough that it can attract people who might not have been caught in the Genshin/Star Rail/Zenless web of things. If it can keep up the vibes of being an “anime GTA,” maybe it can be the next big hit?
Neverness to Everness is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5, PC, Android, and iOS.
