L.A. Comic Con Partners With Otaku Collectives For Anime Activation Akiba Station

Los Angeles Comic Con has big plans this year for its upcoming show that will run from September 26th-28th. We already know some of the big time invited guests including cast members from the Daredevil shows and Doctor Who and Elizabeth Olsen and the stars of the original Scream franchise. The event is also making major changes to the exhibit floor.

Los Angeles Comic Con is partnering with Otaku Collectives to launch Akiba Station. It is a 40,000-square-foot anime and Japanese pop culture destination that will transport attendees to Tokyo’s famed Akihabara district. “Akiba Station will serve as a hub featuring themed exhibitor zones and activations, anime voice actor appearances, panels, cosplay meetups, and pop-up food experiences that speak to the soul of fandom.”

Step through iconic Torri gates and a cherry-blossomed walkway, for your first of many “wow” moments delivered by the area. There is an Akiba Food Market that is inspired by the vibrant streets of Akihabara and Japan’s otaku districts. It features authentic Japanese street vendors and anime-themed cafés. Take part in interactive activations, gaming zones, anime-inspired photo sets and enjoy a curated line-up of Japanese artists, talent, and exhibitors.

The talent includes top Japanese Voiceover talent, who will be announced in the coming weeks.  They will join their American anime VO talent counterparts such as Zach Aguilar, Luci Christian, Zach Gordon, Ian Sinclair, and Sonny Strait.
