‘G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero’ #321 Goes Silent

Skybound, Image Comics, in collaboration with toy company Hasbro, have announced that G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #321 will be another silent issue special, coming 300 issues after the original silent interlude issue in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #21. This issue will be written by writer Larry Hama with art by artist Chris Mooneyham, with covers by Andy Kubert, Steve Beach and Mooneyham.
“The face of comic books changed forever when G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #21 introduced fans to the “Silent Interlude,” an action-packed story with no dialogue.
Now, Larry Hama and Chris Mooneyham present a new silent issue no G.I. Joe fan can miss as Snake-Eyes and Dawn must defend The Pit from an unexpected attack!”
Legendary writer, Hama, who wrote the original issue stated:
“This is another all-silent issue featuring the return of the sound-weaponizing characters introduced in G.I. Joe: Origins #19. They have developed an air-portable version of their sonic weapon and have mounted it in a stealth dirigible to attack the GI Joe installation under Camp Greer in the Utah desert. Snake-Eyes and Dawn Moreno having been at the sound-proof range in the lowest level of the Pit, are the only Joes unaffected and must attack the airship by themselves.”
Mooneyham added:
“I’m honored to have been chosen to lend my voice to this series, and this special issue, in particular. Deconstructing Larry’s vision is always a challenge, and a thrill, and #321 is no exception. I hope our efforts on this title continue to keep ARAH fans coming back for more.”
G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #321 is out on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 with the following covers:
