Dynamite Sends ‘The Boys’ Omnibus Volumes Back To Print Ahead Of ‘Gen V’ Premiere

Retailers hoping to stock The Boys omnibi this fall are in luck: Dynamite is sending them back to the presses.
The company announced Friday that it will be printing a new batch of the paperback collected Boys editions in the US so stock will be available ahead of Gen V‘s second season premiere on September 17th. All six volumes will be solicited in the August for October Dynamite Dispatches catalog. However, retailers are encouraged to order ASAP.
As it happens, there is existing stock of the The Boys Omnibus editions, but it is currently caught up in the ongoing Diamond Distributors bankruptcy case. The organization that assumed control of Diamond is attempting to sell off inventory, including items held in Diamond warehouses on a consignment basis, to offset debts. Dynamite and other publishers are currently fighting the plan in court, hoping to also regain that inventory in the process. The new editions will be available to order through Lunar Distribution, Universal Distribution, Diamond UK for all retailers in the specialty comics market and traditional book market. They will also soon be available from Simon & Schuster for book stores.
The series, created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, details the adventures of a group known as “The Boys.” Their purpose: to bring down venal super-powered beings who play at being heroes, but are anything but heroic. Of course, The Boys are no boy scouts, either, with their leader’s quest for vengeance becoming all-consuming as the story wears on. Adapted into a television series by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke, it’s final season is expected to debut in 2026.
