‘Ghost Pepper’ #1 Gets A Second Printing From Skybound And Image Comics

by Olly MacNamee

Skybound/Image Comics have sent Ghost Pepper #1 back to the printers for a second printing after selling out at distribution level. By Writer/artist/letterer Ludo Lullabi and colourist Adriano Lucas create “a high-octane action series about forgotten heroes, cutthroat food trucks, and saving the world … again.” with the new print coming out Wednesday, August 27th, 2025.

“Humanity survived a monstrous extinction-level threat, but the world isn’t better for everyone. Every day Loloi hits the road to deliver her delicious cooking to the masses, outsmarting her treacherous competition and staying one step ahead of the massive robots “protecting” them all. But everything changes when she serves a mysterious warrior named Ash, whose secrets might just save the world…if his superhuman strength doesn’t destroy it first.”

The second printing will have two new covers: Cover A by Lullabi, as well as a foil version (Cover B) of  Stanley “Artgerm” Lau’s Ghost Pepper #1 cover.

And here’s what Lullabi had to say about the announcement:

“A second printing? Seriously? I’m still in shock. The response to the first issue has gone far beyond anything I could’ve hoped for. Seeing readers connect with Loloi, Ash, and dive into this spicy, intense, and full-of-surprises universe means the world to me. Huge thanks to Skybound and Image Comics for trusting me to tell this story, to Ben, Adriano, and all the amazing artists who created such incredible covers. And most of all…thank you, the readers, for jumping into this adventure with us. It’s because of you that Ghost Pepper is a success—and that we’re heading into a second printing. Thank you for all the love, the heat…and the spicy fan art! I can’t wait for you to taste what’s next.”

Executive Editor Ben Abernathy added:

“A quick sell-out on this epic first issue speaks volumes of the wonderful world that Ludo Lullabi has created. Thank you to the all the fans and retailers who have embraced this series!”
