Kickstarting Comics: Jim Mahfood’s ‘The Arachnid Enforcer’

Chaos has come to the streets of All Hallowsville! The Arachnid Enforcer and his sidekick Gangster Boogie get caught up in a web of spookified mysticism gone wrong. Can they learn to be real heroes or will pure evil enslave their city?
Jim Mahfood (Into The Spider-Verse, Grrl Scouts, Tank Girl) has become a prominent voice in contemporary Underground Comix and his next project is a continuation of superhero parody Outlaw Comics. I had an absolute blast with Savage Street Vigilante and The Arachnid Enforcer is going to be Mahfood’s bootleg version of everyone’s favorite bug-themed superhero. The Arachnid Enforcer is a 48 pages Halloween-flavored, superhero parody comic book.
I’ve always had a fascination with established artists creating Doujinshi — much like how Osamu Tezuka made Furry Erotica or Joe Shuster‘s BDSM art of Superman and Lois Lane. The Arachnid Enforcer will be infused with R-rated destruction, creepified heroics, horror, comedy, psycho-sexual mayhem and be a hell-of-a-lot of fun!
