Newly Announced ‘LEGO Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight’ Arrives In 2026

It’s been a while since we’ve received a new DC LEGO video game. The last one was LEGO DC Supervillains, which released back in 2018. Luckily, our wait is almost over with the announcement of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, DC, and the LEGO Group will release the video game in 2026, and it will have all the charm, humor, and adorableness you would expect from the franchise.
The game is a celebration of the Caped Crusader. Players embark on an epic journey to become the titular superhero inspired by his 86-year history from film, television, games, and of course, comics.
The adventure begins with the origins of Batman as a young Bruce Wayne trains with The League of Shadows, and throughout the story-led campaign, players will build a family of allies with well-known characters including Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul to help confront an ever-growing threat from a rogues gallery of DC super-villains, facing the likes of The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, Bane, and more.
The game will feature an all-new dynamic combat system that captures Batman’s distinctive fighting style. Then, we can’t forget about all the ingenious gadgets he has to play with, such as the Batarangs to stun enemies and the Batclaw to reel in criminals. It’s all there! Plus, other characters come with their own distinctive gear including Jim Gordon’s foam sprayer, Robin’s line launcher, and Catwoman’s whip. The LEGO games have never been known to be hard, but there is also a new Caped Crusader difficulty setting to add even more of a challenge.
