‘Splinter Cell: Deathwatch’ Coming To Netflix This October

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is a new animated series from the writer of the John Wick franchise with Liev Schreiber voicing black ops agent Sam Fisher. As someone with a background in video game art and a burning passion for animated action adventure shows, I’m pleased that we’re getting more games adapted into adult animation.
However, the initial shock of seeing a video game property with sex, violence, and a decent plot has largely worn off. To keep my interest, each video game animated series is going to have to differentiate itself from the rest. It’s great to have video games finally taken seriously as a source for rich stories and characters. But, if we oversaturate the media landscape with generic video game shows we could run into a similar problem as “superhero fatigue.”
Splinter Cell: Deathwatch will be streaming on Netflix October 14th.
