The ne’er-do-well team trying to make good returned recently in The Bad Guys 2, and now Universal is planning to give the film its home video release this October.
Based on the children’s graphic novel by Aaron Blabey, the new film sees the crew of animal outlaws, now reformed, trying very hard to be good. Unfortunately for their efforts to stay out of trouble, they end up “hijacked into a high-stakes, globe-trotting heist, masterminded by a new team of criminals they never saw coming: The Bad Girls.” It takes them to new locations and even into space. Directed by Pierre Perifel and JP Sans, The Bad Guys 2 features the voices of Sam Rockwell as Mr. Wolf, Marc Maron as Mr. Snake, Craig Robinson as Mr. Shark, Anthony Ramos as Mr. Piranha, and Awkwafina as Ms. Tarantula. Additional voices include Zazie Beetz, Lily Singh, Alex Borstein, and Richard Ayoade plus Danielle Brooks, Natasha Lyonne, and Maria Bakalova as the Bad Girls
Special features include commentary from the directors, the exclusive animated short “Little Lies and Alibis”, never-before-seen featurettes, deleted scenes, moments from the recording booth, how to draw character sketch tutorials with filmmakers, and more.
The Bad Guys 2 arrives on digital platforms August 19th and comes to disc formats on October 7th.
