Dan Panosian & Valeria Burzo Help ‘Red Sonja’ Celebrate The New Year

This has been one helluva year and with some already looking to 2026, Dynamite and Red Sonja are looking to ring in the new year as only she can.
The company announced Tuesday that writer Dan Panosian and artist Valeria Burzo will spearhead the Red Sonja New Year’s Special 2025. Summoned to a village in a remote mountain range, the She-Devil with a Sword soon finds deception is afoot as the Red Moon rises. Soon, she’s opposing foes and uncovering more lies. Her journey will also feature snow panthers and ice giants. Will she be able to turn the tide as she battles to survive?
Dynamite says the story will include “stunning vistas and creatures.”
The 28-page special will also feature covers from Joseph Michael Linsner, Shannon Maer, and cosplayer Ani-Mia. A fourth cover will also be available as a mystery blind bag. Per the company, the options include “Blank Authentix edition, and also one of five unique variant cover art editions” while “70% of bags will feature the mystery fourth cover with trade dress, with others may include black and white lineart or ‘virgin’ variations on the other three revealed covers.”
Red Sonja New Year’s Special 2025 is set for release this December.
