‘Vampirella Archives’ Vol. 5 Preps For A Holiday Release

Vampirella is getting ready for the holidays.

This year, December coincides with Dynamite’s bi-monthly publication of the softcover Vampirella Archives. The fifth volume will be a holiday treat for fans of the Daughter of Drakulon.

Vol. 5 collects issues #29-35 of Warren Publishing’s Vampirella magazine, representing work from 1973 and ’74. Writer Flaxman Loew takes charge of Vampi as she becomes a more important element in the anthology series. Jose Gonzalez and Jose Ortiz join him as artists. Meanwhile, Vampirella #30 introduces Pantha. Created by Steve Skeates and Rafael Auraleon, she features in four stories of her own within the volume. Ramon Torrents‘ character Fleur also debuts in the pages of the collected issues. Meanwhile, Vampirella #32-34 feature stories by Jeffrey Catherine Jones with Berni Wrightson providing art for one of the tales. Other contributors include Doug Moench, Richard Corben, Steve Skeates, Esteban Maroto, Fernando Fernandez, and more.
