For the Star Trek faithful, a convention panel is always a lovely thing. At some cons, fans get a brand-new episode of, say, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds or a surprise drop-in from castmembers of the various series. Then there are also the activations that take you into the holodeck or other famous Trek setting.

For New York Comic Con 2025, though, the franchise returns to the Empire Stage to tease the upcoming fourth season of Strange New Worlds and the 2026 debut of Star Trek: Starfleet AcademySNW castmembers Ethan Peck, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, and Martin Quinn are scheduled to attend with co-showrunners Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers, and executive producer Alex KurtzmanStarfleet Academy will be represented by stars Holly Hunter, Sandro Rosta, Karim Diané, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins, Bella Shepard, and Zoë Steiner with Paul Giamatti making his Star Trek press debut. Kurtzman will also be there alongside and co-showrunner Noga Landau. The panel starts at 3:15 ET on October 11th.

It’s similar to the format used at July’s Comic-Con International: San Diego panel, which you can read about here. This time, though, expect more info on Starfleet Academy and no new Strange New Worlds episode as Season 4 is loosely scheduled to debut sometime next year.

Starfleet Academy will also be the focus of this year’s NYCC activation. Dubbed the “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Interactive Experience,” guests will “step into the role of a cadet-in-training” by obtaining a personalized ID badge to “track their progress as they tackle various hands-on challenges that put their skills to the test.” The results of the examination will determine which of the major branches of Starfleet the guest should pursue. Presumably, that means Command, Science, or Operations. Those submitting to the exam will guest an exclusive Starfleet Academy item.

Meanwhile, NCIS returns to NYCC with a panel focused on the program’s newest entry, NCIS: Tony & Ziva. Series stars and executive producers Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly will be in an attendance to discuss the European adventure. The panel will take place on October 9th at 2pm ET in Room 405.
