Funko POP! Takes Us To ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’
by Anton Kromoff
Welcome to the table,
It’s astounding. Time is fleeing. October … is so very close. Halloween and the surrounding season is my favorite time of the year, and it is in no small part due to the fact that I start watching at least one “spooky” movie a night starting in September and going until I switch over to winter-themed holiday movies sometime in December. It’s a cozy tradition that I use to train my brain to put the phone down and be more present — a skill that becomes helpful when the news cycles are terrifying and the random automated calls come in like leaves falling off the autumn trees.
Without question, one of my favorite films of the spooky season is the absolute classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It’s one of those movies that I anticipate the most throughout the year. The wait is always worth it because I try to watch it at least four or five times and see it with some kind of live performance element at least once.

The fact that my pals at Funko POP! are releasing new Rocky Horror Picture Show Funko POP!s in time for this Halloween just adds to my joy over this year’s celebrations!

Out of the gate, they have my favorite costume from the film: the Frank-N-Furter in Hospital Gown POP! I love how they captured Frank-N-Furter’s hair, and the pearls and double gloves make this collectible truly iconic. You can score your own at this link.

Frank-N-Furter’s first creation, Eddie, is also in play — complete with a Saxophone and head stitches. I’ve not seen the back of this POP! yet, but my hope is that with the amount of detail they already have in the render, this one is going to be one for the ages. You can get one at this link.

We also have a Glittery Columbia in this collection, dancing the Time Warp again. You can this POP! here at the link.

The unhinged Riff Raff in his space suit, wielding his weird fork weapon, is also in this set. I love the grey eyeshadow on this POP!, along with his weird little topknot hairstyle. You can grab this one at the link.

Riff Raff without Magenta in her space suit makes very little sense, so I was doubly delighted to see this POP! show up in this set as well. I’ve always loved the Bride of Frankenstein vibe she is serving with this look. You can pick one up for yourself at this link.

Last, but not least, this iconic collection has a Pop! Premium Frank-N-Furter perched atop the iconic lips from the intro and poster. Fun fact: the iconic lips were Patricia Quinn‘s, the actor who plays Magenta in the movie. The link for this one is not up as of yet, but it should be soon!
So there you go, friends. Some seriously good, fun, and spooky little horrors for you to add to your collection. I know I will be attempting to get them all because, like I said, this is one of my favorite films of all time. I knew the second I saw them I had to have them.
Until next time, if you have not had a chance to see a live experience of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, you are really missing out. Try to fix that as soon as possible.
