The King Of Monsters Joins With The King In Black In Marvel’s Upcoming ‘Godzilla: Infinity Roar’

Godzilla has made a huge mark on the Marvel Universe in the past year, between the decade-by-decade series of one-shots, and Godzilla Destroys The Marvel Universe. In February, the chaos continues as Godzilla takes on the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe, with a terrifying new ally.
Godzilla: Infinity Roar launches in February 2026 reuniting the creative team of Gerry Duggan and Javier Garron, with Ig Guara joining the team. The series directly follows up on Godzilla Destroys The Marvel Universe, which concludes in November. The series will find Godzilla exiled in the cosmos, but he will also find a terrifying new ally.
“Most movie stars are a giant pain in the ass, but not Godzilla, who has been a privilege and a joy to collaborate with, and the fun will continue in outer space,” Duggan shared. “And I can say the ideas that are in the mix now are going to make this the biggest, craziest and most dangerous Godzilla crossover ever. The Marvel Universe has never been in more peril! See you in space.”
The official solicitation (which spoils the end of the current series, so be warned) from Marvel reads:
The combined forces of Earth’s mightiest heroes managed to spare Earth by exiling Godzilla off into space…but in doing so may have just heralded the end of the larger galaxy! As Knull, the god of the symbiotes fans the flames of Godzilla’s anger, a new campaign for galactic conquest begins with the King of the Monsters and the King in Black at the helm! Will the cosmos be able to band together to stop the two juggernauts, or will a new era of death and destruction descend upon the cosmos? One things for sure, from the Galactic Empire of Wakanda, Shi’ar Empires, Kree-Skrull space and beyond, no planet will be safe as Godzilla destroys the Marvel galaxy!
It’s fun to have Godzilla interacting with the Marvel Universe again, without a doubt. The stories so far have been a mixed bag (I really loved Hulk and X-Men, Spider-Man was fine), but Duggan in particular has really made the concept fun. There is a LOT of Godzilla content out there right now though- Marvel’s crossovers, the IDW line, and the Monarch-verse Godzilla is still crossing over with the Justice League. I worry a little that Godzilla’s a bit too big at the moment (pun intended). Hopefully I get proven wrong though!
