Planet Comicon Kansas City Announces First Guests For 2026

Planet Comicon Kansas City opened up ticket sales on October 28th (available here), and without naming a single guest completely sold out their three-day fast passes. On Halloween, they announced their first two guests for the event taking place March 27th-29th, 2026 at the Kansas City Convention Center.
Original Ghostbuster Ernie Hudson and Art the Clown actor David Howard Thornton are coming to KC. Both actors have photo packages available in full costume, and Thornton has photo opportunities in street clothes. To snag a photo of Hudson in his actual screen-used Ghostbusters uniform, fans can shell out $135 for a slot on any of the three con days. Thornton is appearing in full murder clown garb on Saturday, for $165, and will be taking photos as himself on Friday and Sunday for $85. Tickets for these photo ops are available at this link.
These are the only guests yet officially announced by the convention, but it stands to reason there will be themes among the featured guests. I would expect a couple more guests from both the Ghostbusters and Terrifier franchises. I doubt any of the other original ‘Busters will be in attendance, but there are a ton of films, animated series, and comics now. The Terrifier gang, however, participates in many conventions and fan meets as a group.
