I often think why Robert Kirkman never expanded the Invincible Universe earlier. But with the success of the Amazon Prime animation series, it must have played a big part in that decision. How that success translates to sales of a comic book series that newbies would not necessarily link to Invincible, I don’t know. But what I do know is that I’m glad he has expanded that unique shared universe now. With this book and Battle Beast, it’s great to see the potential of this untapped universe being explored.
