ICYMI: ‘Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures’ Faces One Last Trial In Season 3 Trailer

by Erik Amaya

While not the centerpiece of the galaxy far, far away, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures has been a solid animated series aimed at the younglings inhabiting the homes of Star Wars fans. And if our own observations at Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Japan are any indication, it has a few older adherents, too. But as the Season 3 trailer above reveals, it is time for the younglings at the center of the series to get ready for new challenges as Padawans. Which, of course, means the series is at its conclusion.

Set during the High Republic era, the program follows Kai Brightstar (Ja’Siah Young), Lys Solay (Juliet Donenfeld), and Nubs (Dee Bradley Baker) as they learn the ways of the Force from Jedi Master Yoda (Piotr Michael), explore the galaxy, and help citizens and creatures in need. In the third and final season, the group faces off against against Rek Minuu (Mason Wertheimer), a “mischievous master droidsmith.” Friendly mechs will also appear as the team is introduced to Dotti (April Winchell), a “beloved local shop owner known for her droid-fixing skills,” and three new droid companions: Beepers, Dozer, and Gigi. Devoted viewers will also see Kai as an older Padawan, as voiced by Jamaal Avery Jr. The trailer also suggests there may be a few minutes with an older Lys and Nubs, too.

And although the trailer is clearly meant to appeal to younger viewers, the animation looks really good. Or, maybe, a brightly-colored Star Wars looks particularly appealing right now. Also, don’t kids deserve a Star Wars all their own without us older lads trying to figure out the minutiae and continuity of the whole thing?

All Season 3 episodes of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures arrive on Disney+ December 8th. The program will also debut new episodes daily from December 8th on Disney Jr.
