Stern Pinball Launches ‘Fallout’ Pinball Machines

Stern Pinball is known for games incorporating fan-favorite franchises. In the past, they have made pinball cabinets themed with Transformers, Jaws, and Venom. The company’s latest product taps into a beloved post-apocalyptic world.
In collaboration with Kilter Films and Bethesda Game Studios, the company recently announced their Fallout cabinet. The game places players in the wasteland, and much like the Prime Video series, where they can select the perspective of either Lucy, The Ghoul, or Maximus. Each character has a unique set of playable side modes and features.
It’ll be tough to survive the world taking on wastelanders while also leveling up S.P.E.C.I.A.L. (Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, Luck) abilities, hacking computer terminals with a Pip-Boy, and entering the vault.
The pinball machine incorporates some fun visuals tied to the franchise. It features Vault Boy, Power Armor, Nuka-Cola, Pip-Boy, Vault Suits, and other familiar features. The display will also utilize footage from the first two seasons along with content pulled directly from the video game. Actor John Pemberton (Thaddeus) lends his voice with custom call-out audio.
From a gameplay standpoint, the Pip-Boy offers a colorful interactive display that communicates key game mode information and gameplay features. The Fat Man multi-axis pinball launcher with Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System (V.A.T.S) — inspired by a combat mechanic from the video game — launches balls to an upper playfield target gallery. The Nuka-Cola Bottle Cap spinner exhibits first-of-its-kind mechanical up-and-down movement, while the ‘Mutated’ inverted upper flipper delivers mechanical innovation “not seen in pinball since before the Great War.” Other features include the Mechanical Vault Blast Door that allows players to explore underground unknowns, a Deathclaw bash toy with kickback and taunt features, and a Vault lower playfield powered by “Magna-Flip” magnetic technology, that provides dynamic kinetic action and excitement.
The Fallout pinball machine is currently on sale. It comes in Pro, Premium, and Limited Editions.
