miHoYo Announces Their Next Project: ‘Varsapura’

If nothing else, miHoYo is certainly consistent. After announcing Petit Planet earlier this year, they’ve now confirmed another new title in the works. This time, it’s an open-world game entitled Varsapura, and they announced it with a 30+ minute gameplay demo (above).
The demo gives a glimpse at the game’s world, showing the protagonist joining a secret organization that deals with shadowy threats while keeping the world unaware. There’s also an extended look at combat, which goes back to miHoYo’s action roots, complete with the familiar character switching. The one thing that is new here: some mild stealth mechanics allowing players to sneak up on enemies and kill them without having to fight.
Can the industry take another gacha game? Maybe. But Varsapura is going to enter a much more crowded market than any of its predecessors ever did.
Currently, Varsapura has no confirmed platforms or release date.
