This episode acts as a parody of the anime cliché known as the “beach episode.” However, with the introduction of a mysterious new character, we get hints as to how everyone got trapped in the digital circus. There are twists and turns and characters’ allegiances are tested. The Amazing Digital Circus balances nuanced and emotional character drama, with gallows humor, and spooky mystery. I can’t wait to see how things develop!
