In the conclusion to Death Spiral, Marvel Comics’ latest crossover between Amazing Spider-Man and Venom it appears Peter Parker is going to emerge … transformed. Marvel simply sent the teaser below, with little information beyond the creative team and the issue in which it hits.
From Marvel’s press release: This April, Peter does the unthinkable in Amazing Spider-Man #27 by Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness, the conclusion of Amazing Spider-Man/Venom: Death Spiral.
Kicking off next month, the crossover finds Spider-Man; Mary Jane, All-New Venom; and Eddie Brock, Carnage targeted by Torment, a new supervillain serial killer!
Obviously, it appears that Peter is going to accept a deal with the devil and merge with the Carnage symbiote. Interestingly this isn’t the first time Spider-Man and Carnage have merged, though Ben Reilly was Spidey at the time. Considering Ben is currently impersonating Peter while Pete has been thrown into outer space (while Peter returns in the next issue of the series), that story might actually factor into this crossover
So what happens from here?
I guess we’ll see in April.
