Capcom Offers A Deep Dive Into ‘Resident Evil Requiem’

by Sage Ashford

With just a few weeks to go until Resident Evil: Requiem is released, Capcom has uploaded an official overview trailer to hype everyone up. The new direct combines an interview with RE9 director Koshi Nakanishi with gameplay footage of both returning character Leon Kennedy and newcomer Grace Ashcroft. With this, it’s confirmed that both characters will play completely differently, with Grace’s gameplay more like Resident Evil 2 and 7, while Leon goes back to the classic action-style of Resident Evil 4.

Yet gameplay isn’t the only thing this RE Direct focuses on, as Capcom has confirmed RE Requiem is launching on nVidia’s cloud streaming GeForce Now. There were also a surprising number of merch announcements and collaborations, starting with the company teaming up with Hamilton for special watch designs for both Leon and Grace, and Leon getting a unique in-game version of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT. Fans can also expect unique Grace and Leon figures releasing this fall.

Resident Evil: Requiem launches for GeForce Now, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Steam this February 27th.
