Dynamite’s ‘Savage Tales’ Returns With April’s ‘Giant-Sized Savage Tales’

The upcoming edition of Dynamite’s Savage Tales is going to be giant.
The company announced Friday that its occasional anthology series will be a giant-sized special. Giant- Sized Savage Tales #1 features new stories from writer David Avallone and artists Mariano Benitez-Chapo, Pasquale Qualano, and Sebastián Píriz.
Avallone and Benitez-Chapo reunite in another “His War” story arc for Captain Gullivar Jones. The pair also work together on a Vampi tale called “Vampirella Noir.” Next, the writer and Qualano team up for “Red Sonja: The Exile.” And finally, Píriz joins Avallone for “The Last Allan Quatermain Story.”
Supporting the issue are covers from Bjorn Barends — contributing Red Sonja and Vampirella covers — and Ivy Cosplay. Additionally, collectors can look out for special blind bag additions featuring “three limited edition variants of the issue, selected randomly from a range of covers exclusive to the offering.”
Giant-Sized Savage Tales #1 arrives this April.
