by Tony Thornley

The first meeting of Spider-Man and Superman since 1996’s DC Versus Marvel is already shaping up to be the comics event of Spring 2026. Now Marvel has revealed more information, including new variant covers, for their entry into the event.

Debuting on April 15, 2026, Spider-Man/Superman will bring the Man of Steel and Web Slinger together for a totally new adventure from superstar creators Brad Meltzer and Pepe Larraz, with back-up stories from a range of superstar creators including Dan Slott, Marco Martin, Geoff Johns, Gary Frank, Brian Michael Bendis, Sara Pichelli and more. The special will also include a massive array of variant covers from incredible artists across the comics industry.

Announced yesterday afternoon will be two more stories. The first will be a second Spidey/Supes team-up, this one from Jeph Loeb and Jim Cheung. The second story teams Supergirl and Ghost Spider from Stephanie Phillips and Phil Noto.

Additionally, new covers were revealed, including covers tied to already announced stories from Frank and Humberto Ramos. The other newly revealed covers include armored heroes by Frank Miller, E.M. Gist and Skottie Young.

“Spider-Gwen and Supergirl both represent different kinds of strengths and powers, but they’re united by their compassion and resilience,” Phillips shared. “I really loved the chance to let these heroes save the day together and have fun doing it. And Phil Noto on art just takes it to another level – Kara, Gwen, and I are lucky to have him!”

“How often do you get to land on the moon? Travel back in time? Be a part of history? That’s what it was like when Marvel asked me to be part of Spider-Man/Superman!” Loeb said. “It’s a short story that I’d like to think connects emotionally with Spider-Man: Blue and Superman for All Seasons. Then, the most incredible part is that the incomparable Jim Cheung is illustrating the story giving it the perfect feel! See you there!”

Check out the newly revealed covers, and watch for more about this massive special soon.
