Musical RPG ‘People Of Note’ Looks As Good As It Sounds

by Sage Ashford

Annapurna Interactive announced Iridium Studios’ turn-based RPG People of Note late last year, and now it’s already ready to go with a release date trailer. While previous videos focused on introducing us to the setting and giving a glimpse at the big set-piece moments, this new trailer takes the time to introduce us to the full cast of characters.

There’s Cadence, an up-and-coming popstar, Fret, a rock legend, EDM DJ Synthia, and Vox, a “hip-hop virtuoso”. With the game combining classic turn-baased combat with timed rhythm attacks to fit the musical theme, there’s a ton of potential here. Given how much they’ve hyped up the game’s cinematic music sequences though, much of how well this game goes over is going to come down to how good the music actually sounds. For once, the soundtrack might literally be the most important part of the game.

People of Note arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Steam, Microsoft Store, and Epic Games Store on the 7th of April, but there’s already a demo available for those who are curious.
