S.H.I.E.L.D. Recruits Marvel’s Greatest Heroes In April’s Stormbreaker Variants

More than one of Earth’s greatest heroes has been a part of S.H.I.E.L.D. In April, Marvel Comics’ Stormbreakers imagine a world where even more of them become Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D!
In Marvel’s current Captain America from Chip Zdarsky and Valerio Schiti, Steve Rogers has found himself contracted with the latest version of the Marvel Universe’s premier espionage agency. Through all eight April variant covers, Marvel’s 2026 Stormbreaker artists re-imagine some of Marvel’s greatest heroes — including Cyclops, the Thing, Boom Boom, Hela, Thor, Wolverine, Nova and Deadpool — as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The covers have an added bonus of taking inspiration from comics legend Jim Steranko.
Marvel’s current Stormbreakers include Alessandro Cappuccio (Ultimate Wolverine), Netho Diaz (X-Men), Simone Di Meo (X-Men of Apocalypse), Juan Frigeri (Ultimates), Gurihiru (Jeff the Land Shark), Jonas Scharf (Ultimate Endgame), Geoff Shaw (Wade Wilson: Deadpool), and Luciano Vecchio (Uncanny X-Men).
