First Look: ‘George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition’

Now this one is the Artist’s Edition I have waited for, and so I’m glad Skybound, DC Comics and Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing are making it happen. George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition will include a large selection of original art pages from Pérez’s run on The New Teen Titans #1-40, including covers. It’s the comic book series that got me hooked on American comics and DC Comics, particularly. As with previous Artist’s Editions, this one comes as a 12” x 17” hardcover edition with a foreword by collaborator and friend, Marv Wolfman.
“A true turning point in comic book history, Marv Wolfman and George Pérez created a massive hit for DC when The New Teen Titans arrived on comic shop shelves in 1980. The team of Robin, Starfire, Wonder Girl, Raven, Kid Flash, Cyborg, and Beast Boy stole readers’ hearts, rivaling even the X-Men for preeminence in the comic market.”
As with other editions, this one makes use of colour-scanned original art pages to better capture every pencil line and brushstroke made by Pérez. Or, as they put it, “The only better way to experience these pages is by looking at the artist’s drawing board, as they’re drawing.”
George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition is out in comic book stores on Wednesday, the 1st of July, 2026, and at booksellers on Tuesday, the 28th of July, 2026.
