Brian K. Vaughan And Marcos Martin’s ‘Barrier’ Webcomic Series Gets Collected By Image Comics
by Olly MacNamee
Originally published as a five-issue miniseries on Panel Syndicate, writer Brian K. Vaughan and artist Marcos Martín‘s Harvey Award-winning comic book, Barrier, is to be published this July from Image Comics, exploring “a shockingly prescient drama about violence, language, and illegal immigration … through a spectacular sci-fi twist.” And all reproduced in its original widescreen format.

Here’s more, plus a preview:
“When the lives of Texas rancher Liddy and Honduran immigrant Óscar collide at the U.S.-Mexico border, neither can understand the other’s words, but both are forced to rely on trust when they’re thrust into an unimaginable encounter.”
Told in English and Spanish without translation, Barrier is a visually stunning, emotionally fraught tale that explores the walls we build between nations, cultures, and each other.”
Barrier trade paperback is out in comic book stores on Wednesday, 20th May and in booksellers on Tuesday, 16th June from Image Comics.
