Adult Animation Revolution: ‘Stuck in the Globosphere’

Anya Butler (@meppity) is an animator and YouTuber who’s recently ventured out into creating an indie animated series titled Stuck in the Globosphere. I had the chance to speak with Butler about her thoughts on indie animation, and she seems like a passionate, creative young talent.
Stuck in the Globosphere follows two teenagers who become trapped in a fantastic world hidden within an antique snow globe. The teens are joined by a timid plant girl and a sentient wooden chest as they try to uncover the dark mysteries in the world of the Globosphere.
I think the art style looks really fresh and I love how the use of mixed-media looks cohesive as opposed to jarring.
Butler will be running a Kickstarter for the pilot episode of Stuck in the Globosphere. The proposed pilot will be a 20-minute animatic with a full musical score, sound design and voice acting.
