‘Marvel Contest Of Champions’ Is Making Waves In May Update

After introducing Doctor Bong and Ruby Thursday last month, Marvel Contest of Champions looks to add even more characters to the popular mobile game. In addition, the latest update adds other exciting content.
The next hero to join the Contest is the Filipino hero Wave, who can be obtained beginning May 28. Ghost Rider will also receive a re-work and this version of the character is available starting May 14.
There is a new Event Quest entitled “In Hot Water” as well. The story involves Mephisto invading Atlantis. May’s featured characters, Wave and Ghost Rider, come to the rescue to help save the underwater kingdom. The event runs from May 6th to June 3rd, 2026.
Marvel Contest of Champions is launching Collectives. It is a new permanent feature that allows players to chase horizontal roster growth with Class Collectives. Collectives are a group of Champions who all share an attribute and are ranked up as a group. Thronebreaker and higher summoners can use the new feature to gain rewards and benefits, ranking up Champions beginning May 6. The details of Collectives can be found below.

Increase Champion power + More progression opportunities: Existing Champions feed into Collectives, so the roster built over the years now unlocks even more power!

The Metamorphosis Event Sale runs from May 13th to 20th. Players gather Crystals and rewards, which can lead to receiving six newly Ascendable 7-star Champions: Attuma, Spot, White Tiger, Knull, Iron Man, and Dust.
A new month means a new character bundle for new players. Beginning May 6th, you receive the Show No Mercy New Player Bundle, which includes Punisher, Domino, Elsa Bloodstone, Venom, Ghost Rider (Mystic), Silver Sable, Nebula, Hit Monkey, Kushala, and Mr. Knight.
