Marvel Comics & ‘Star Wars’ Team Up For New June Pride Variant Covers

Even though it’s set in a galaxy far, far away, the Star Wars universe is an extremely diverse place. In June, Marvel Comics shows off that diversity with the universe’s LGBTQ characters in a series of interconnected variant covers.

Created by artist Rickie Yagawa, the covers will cross all three covers in June. Featuring eighteen different LGBTQ characters, the variants will be showcased on Star Wars: Rogue One — Jyn Erso #1, Star Wars: Shadows of Maul #4, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge — Echoes of the Empire #3.

“It was a privilege to participate in this project!” Yagawa shared. “One of the things I love most about Star Wars galaxy is the diversity of characters found throughout its long history. This was a really cool and special experience for me.”

From Jedi Knights and rogues to Rebellion heroes and Imperial leaders, fans can spot their favorites on the cover, from left to right:
