Ahoy’s First Look At ‘The Toxic Avenger Comics’ #9 By Matt Bors And Fred Harper

The Toxic Avenger Comics #9, by Matt Bors and Fred Harper has been a while in the making. But we finally get a first look before the book drops this June. This new issue sees Toxie framed for the murder of the US President and banged up in an isolation camp for mutants! What could possibly go wrong?
As an additional note to readers in its newsletter, Ahoy Comics wanted to assure fans that its future was rosy. Editor-in-Chief Tom Peyer wrote:
“Some of you more attentive AHOYniks have been apprehensively asking after the fate of everybody’s favorite line of comics. Our output for the summer of ’26 looks a bit light, admittedly, but there’s no reason to panic, we promise. We have a lot of new projects coming up that you’ve never even heard of, and we’re conniving to bring back some of your faves. A world without AHOY would be a nightmare and we will give our lives before we let that happen. Well, maybe not our lives. But keep expecting more and we’ll make sure you get it.”
Well, I for one hope they do have new projects brewing, because their cerebral and satirical voice in comics would be sorely missed.
