‘Vampirella Archives’ Vol. 7 Arrives This August

The Vampirella Archives continue.
Intended as an affordable way to collect all the stories from the Warren Publishing days, Dynamite’s Vampirella Archives program continues to bring that material back into print on a bimonthly basis. Beyond Vampi’s own adventures, one can also finds tales of horror, science fiction, fantasy, and more. This time, Vol. 7 of the Archives reaches issues ##43-49 of the original Vampirella magazine, representing its publishing efforts between summer 1975 and spring 1976.
This time, writer Bill DuBay leads Vampirella in new directions with art from mainstay Jose Gonzalez and fellow contributors Gonzalo Mayo and Zesar Lopez. The all-Vampi issue #46 sees DuBay retelling and redefining her origin while issue #49 sees the first appearance of the Blood Red Queen of Hearts, as drawn by Esteban Maroto.
Other talents featured in Vol. 7 includes the likes of Len Wein, Luis Garcia, Ramon Torrents, Fernando Fernandez, Gerry Boudreau, Rafael Auraleon, Jose Ortiz, and Isidro Mones, among others.
Vampirella Archives Vol. 7 arrives in stores this August with Vol. 8 — featuring Vampi’s first crossover — set to debut two months later.
